Landfall Real Estate
Since its development in the 1980s, Landfall has been regarded as the greater Wilmington area's premier gated community. It has received numerous accolades over the years due to its luxury amenities, outstanding architecture and world-class golf and tennis facilities. In 2001 it was named the "Best Address" by Forbes magazine. Today, it's still at the top of the list!
Landfall is located east of the historic port city of Wilmington, and much of its sprawling acreage runs along the Intracoastal Waterway. The prominent financier Pembroke Jones selected the 2000-acre site property in the 1880s. He purchased it to maintain as a hunting reserve and created Pembroke Park. In its heyday during the roaring twenties, he entertained the social elite including the Astors, the Carnegies and the Rockefellers. His extravagance was the basis for the expression, "keeping up with the Joneses". Today, residents appreciate what drew Jones to the property in the first place-breathtaking natural beauty, awe-inspiring wildlife, sweeping views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the pristine waters of Howe Creek. Sidewalks and walking trails make it so easy for residents to get out and enjoy their beautiful surroundings. Those with water access have an easy time going out for a morning paddle or tranquil sunset float up the creek or waterway.

The Tennis Hall of Famer, Cliff Drysdale is the one who developed the community's state-of-the-art sports complex, which includes 14 tennis courts, a fully equipped fitness center, and an Olympic sized pool. These are just a few of the amenities available in this gorgeous community.
